Traditional Iranian Martial Arts (Varzesh-e Pahlavani)

Pahlavan-e Bozorg Razaz vs. Fourteen Best Pahlavans of Iran

Pahlavan Haj Seyed Hassan Razaz used to do vigorous daily exercises. It helped his endurance and strength. It is reported that he practiced with 1,000 sets of Meals, 1,000 sets of Kabadeh, 1,000 sets of Sang, and 1,000 Shena (different forms of push-ups).

After such a vigorous set of exercises he then wrestled everyone who accepted his challenge in the Zoorkhaneh. This is also known as Dor-e-Koshti (Wrestling Series). This is when a Pahlavan challenges other capable wrestlers in a Zoorkhaneh to wrestle with him.
